OBITUARY

Angelita “Kila” Estrada Herrera, 78, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, in San Angelo.

Mrs. Herrera was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by love, strength, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She was born on October 1, 1947, in Sterling City, as the second-born daughter of Jose and Josefa Estrada. Angelita’s life reflected the values she held most dear, which were family, kindness, and connections with others.

Kila was a loving and devoted mother to a son and daughters. She was always doting on her children with endless care and affection and her love for them knew no bounds. Kila extended that same love to her nieces and nephews, whom she treated as her own children. She took great joy in nurturing them, celebrating their accomplishments, and being present for every milestone. Family was the center of her world, and she dedicated her life to ensuring those she loved felt supported, cherished, and valued.

Kila was known as the sweetest and kindest soul-someone whose smile could light up a room and whose infectious laugh brought happiness to all who heard it. Her presence made people feel welcomed, loved, and at ease. She had a bubbly and sassy personality that made her truly unforgettable. Strong-willed and confident, she spoke her mind openly and honestly, and those who knew her admired the honesty and confidence she possessed. She loved to chat, to laugh, and to be surrounded by people – silence was never her style.
