Ella’s Reptile Sanctuary and Rescue, San Angelo’s trusted safe haven for scaly and furry friends alike, is gearing up for a new way you can help feed some of the hungry critters in their care – Salad Saturdays.

Each Saturday, the rescue will be inviting the community to contribute to the health and wellbeing of creatures from guinea pigs to lizards by donation.

Why It Matters

Reptiles require daily servings of leafy greens, fruits, and vegetables. But these diets are also vital for animals like squirrels, rabbits, and other small mammals. Maintaining this nutritional diet can put financial strain on the caregiving facility. Salad Saturdays offer a fun, creative way to ease some of that pressure – and to be a part of a great cause.

  • $1 buys a broccoli or a zucchini
  • $2 buys a kale
  • $3 buys some fruits

And every penny helps!

Even small donations go a long way at rescues, where feeding the animals is a daily requirement.
