Angelo State University will present a concert of chamber music by the ASU faculty ensemble, Trio Aurora, on Friday, Oct. 17, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building at 2602 Dena Drive.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Carr EFA Building’s Eldon Black Recital Hall and is free and open to the public. Trio Aurora includes three members of the ASU music faculty:
- Dr. Fagner Rocha, associate professor of music – violin
- Dr. Eun Mi Lee, staff accompanist – piano
- Dr. Daria Miskiewicz, assistant professor of music – cello
The trio will provide a preview of their upcoming “Opus One” concert, offering insights into the music and their collaborative process. The repertoire for the evening will include:
- “Piano Trio in C Minor, Op. 1, No. 3” by Ludwig von Beethoven
- “Piano Trio in G Minor, Op. 17” by Clara Schumann
ASU’s resident piano trio, Trio Aurora brings together three dynamic performers and educators known for their expressive interpretations and engaging stage presence. The trio performs a wide range of repertoire, from beloved classical masterpieces to contemporary works.
