OBITUARY

Tellmo Baker, a brave and compassionate soul, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 92. A resident of San Angelo, Tellmo was known for his devoted, faithful, and generous nature. Born on November 29, 1933, he lived a life marked by hard work, honesty, humor, and a kind-hearted spirit.

At the age of 17, Tellmo joined the Navy, serving as a gunner’s mate on the navy destroyer USS Bradford and in the Korean Conflict War. His dedication to his country continued as he left the Navy to join the Air Force, and it was there he trained to be a Firefighter. His military career took him to many locations across the world. After retiring from the military, he dedicated 18 years to serving as a fire inspector at Goodfellow AFB.

Family was central to Tellmo’s life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Baker, and their children: Troy Baker (Rita), Amber Baker, and Mark Baker (Barbara). He leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tellmo was preceded in death by his grandsons, Kyle Baker and Colt Baker.
