OBITUARY
Sylvia Dean Hadamek, beloved mother, grandmother, wife and friend has departed her earthly home on February 22, 2026. Sylvia was one of 5 children born to Bertha Lorraine Rhoads and Daniel Louis Alexander on Sept 8, 1934 in Randlett, OK.
She spent her formative years there and graduated suma cum laude from Randlett High School in 1952. She married Bowden Tims Maben, Jr. in Nov 1952 and gave birth to two daughters, Sherrie Dean and Vanda Rene. After moving to Odessa as a family, she was employed by Atlantic Refining Company in 1961. She was a much admired and respected employee until her retirement in 1988 after achieving higher roles in an administrative capacity. She treasured all the life-long friends she made during that time.
After her divorce in 1969, she met the true man of her dreams, John Vincent Hadamek. Together they continued to raise their two daughters, watched them graduate and go on to schools of higher learning , and ultimately they met and married their own husbands, Rick Hale and Sam Forbes. Rick and Sherrie Hale and Vanda and Sam Forbes produced four grandchildren for Sylvia to love and spoil: Sean and Aaron Hale and Van and Stephanie Forbes.
Van and his wife, Amanda, were the first to bless Sylvia with great grandchildren: Ayden and Ian Forbes. Next Sean and his wife, Carmen, gave her Dante and Alexa Hale. And lastly, Stephanie and her husband, Grant, gave her the three youngest: John Allen, Quinn, and Mattie Jackson.
All of her family from each generation shared many happy memories with her. And upon her death, she was surrounded by those who loved her most: her husband ,John, her daughters and their husbands along with her devoted caregivers: Corina, Pam and Rosa.
Sylvia was an inspiration and a joy to all around her. But her family received the richest gifts of all from her: love, joy, a thirst for knowledge, generosity, guidance and everlasting devotion.
We will all miss her terribly. God has now received home one of his best and brightest stars in his creation.
