Fundraiser at Jason’s Deli tomorrow

Give back to the community on your lunch break at Jason’s Deli: Ask to donate a portion of your meal ticket to the Concho Valley Community Action Agency fundraising drive Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“You go in, when you pay, say you’re here to support CVCAA, and a portion of the proceeds will go to us. Get some good food and come support the agency.” Says Director Mike Burnett.

Rock Rose Campus Planning

Those wishing to comment on the Rock Rose Community Campus to benefit homeless neighbors are encouraged to do so. The City Planning Commission will meet August 18 at 9 a.m. The agenda has yet to be posted as of the date of publication.

Rural Outreach Continues

Last week, the agency visited 10 rural counties in three days of outreach, where they received 100 applications for utility and rural-rental assistance, veteran services, counseling, and case-management programs.
