OBITUARY
In Loving Memory of Stormie Mary Rose Woodring
Stormie Mary Rose Woodring, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and a light to all who knew her, was called home to be with her Savior on Sunday, February 15, 2026. At 4:28 am, the struggle of this world ended, and Stormie finally heard the words: “Well done, Good and Faithful Servant.”
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Northridge Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
She is survived by her parents Sean and Ellen Woodring, and was a devoted sister to Hunter, Rory, Maesen, and Arrow. She is also survived by her grandparents Mike and Ivy Hitchcock and William and Nicole Burns, as well as her godparents Zack and Monique Rodriquez and JJ and Kimber Griffin. Her life was enriched by the guidance and love of all her Sunday School teachers, Youth Pastors, and Northridge Baptist Church, as well as the countless brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews whose lives she touched so profoundly. Stormie lived her life with a heart of pure love, radiating a kindness that reached far beyond her immediate family, treating every friend as family and pouring her spirit into everyone she met.
A Sophomore at Central High School, Stormie previously attended Fannin Elementary and Lone Star Middle School. She was a gifted Artist who found beauty in creation, often lost in her drawings and occasionally using her own skin as a canvas for her latest inspiration. Her beautiful smile could light up the darkest room, and her contagious laugh was a melody that stayed with you long after she left.
Stormie loved her church deeply and looked forward to Church Camp every single year; it was there that she truly gave her life to the Lord. Her friends were the heartbeat of her world, and she loved them with a depth that was truly rare. Stormie didn’t just walk alongside her friends; she ministered to them, offering a listening ear, a steady heart, and a faith that was quiet yet unshakable and unashamed.
A dedicated competitive swimmer and a true “Bobcat,” Stormie’s journey in the water was a perfect reflection of her authentic character. She was famous for her favorite saying, “I hate swim, I’m quitting,” yet she never did. Her unwavering dedication and resilience shined through every grueling practice and every race, leading her to become a Regional Qualifier 2025-2026, a District Champion 2025-2026, and 2nd Team All-District in the 100 Breast and 200 IM. Her leadership extended beyond her own races; she spent her summers teaching swimming lessons at Central High School and served as a Referee for the San Angelo Soccer Association. She showed us all that true strength isn’t about liking every minute of the struggle, but having the heart to keep showing up anyway.
Even as she navigated the challenges of asthma, her spirit never wavered, leaning on the comforting truth of Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” She lived as a witness to her faith, inspiring her teammates, her church family, and her fellow students. Stormie’s legacy is defined by a love that was selfless, steady, and deeply rooted in her Savior. While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is resting peacefully in eternal light, breathing deeply in the arms of Jesus. As we carry her memory forward, we strive to Live Like Stormie – with resilience, faith, and a heart that loved like Jesus.
