EYE ON SAN ANGELO
Tom Green County and City of San Angelo officials are still working to check all the necessary details required for a federal declaration of disaster, now that it’s official on the local and state levels.
The City Fire Marshal is going door-to-door, and seeing which buildings are habitable, and marking condemned buildings with a big orange “X.”
Officials warned residents not to enter any condemned structures.
Late Tuesday, the city called for volunteers to help document and log damage from the flood.
On Wednesday morning, they met at the Community Center on Grape Creek Road for training before being assigned an area to canvass. They were told to be prepared for lots of walking and urged to bring a water bottle.
