The San Angelo Independent School District (SAISD) Board of Trustees will meet tonight for its regular meeting Tuesday evening. January 20, 2026.
The Board meets in the Trustees Board Room on the second floor of the SAISD Administration Building at 1621 University San Angelo, Texas. The meeting begins at 5:45 p.m.

The item of most public interest this evening will be related to the closure of elementary schools.
The items on the agenda include:
- Audit presentation report
- Bond update report
- Update on academic programs
- Identifying elementary campuses to close
- Rio Vista Elementary abatement and demolition
- Sanctioning the education certificates of two teachers for abandonment of contracts–Perla Garcia and Ida P. Luce
- Consider the Superintendents mid-year evaluation
If you wish to make public comment you must sign up for comment before the meeting. So, be sure to get their early.
Also, the board does not take public comment during the meeting when an item is being discussed. All public comments must be made at the beginning of the meeting before any agenda items have been called for discussion.
