OBITUARY
Rolinda Rodriguez, a beacon of love and joy whose laughter was as infectious as her spirit was indomitable, returned to her Heavenly Father on February 5, 2026, having drawn her first breath in San Angelo, Texas, on February 2, 1981.
Rolinda, beloved daughter of Rosa Worley, cherished wife of Jose Rodriguez, and adored mother to her daughters Mercedes Paige DeLaCerda, Makaylah Shea DeLaCerda, Mariah Hope DeLaCerda, Olivia Rhayne Rodriguez, and Kamila Jaide Rodriguez, departed this earthly realm after a valiant battle with metastatic cervical cancer to the bones.
From the hallowed halls of Bronte High School to her treasured role within the Bronte ISD, Rolinda’s life was one of service and dedication, an example of Christian faith in action. Her smile was a constant source of light, and her kindness mirrored the teachings of Christ, whose love she embodied through every chapter of her life.
Rolinda’s heart was a tapestry woven with the loves of her life: her husband, her children, and her siblings, Rudy Sanchez, Becky Puentez, Robert Minjarez, and Ryann Williamson. Each one a golden thread in the fabric of her days, her love for her family knew no bounds. Together they shared countless BBQs, cherished excursions to San Antonio, leisurely golf trips, watching football and creating countless moments of simple togetherness that will be held close as precious memories.
A woman of mirth and adventure, Rolinda’s laughter was a wellspring of joy, infusing humor into the everyday and reminding all who knew her to embrace life’s journey with a light heart. An adventurer in spirit, she eagerly sought the beauty of the world and the warmth of the sun’s embrace on the greens of verdant courses or in the bustling heart of the Alamo City.
In a testament to her character, Rolinda has been described in words that only scratch the surface of her essence: loving, funny, adventurous. These words,
though true, fall short of capturing the magnanimity of her spirit, the genuineness of her compassion, and the bravery of her soul.
And so, as we recall the vibrant life of Rolinda Rodriguez, we are guided by the eloquence of the classic poet Alfred Lord Tennyson: “I hold it true, whate’er befall; I feel it when I sorrow most; ‘Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” Rolinda’s love was a gift bestowed upon the many lives she touched, and her legacy will endure in the love that endures and the lives she has shaped.
Though her light on this earth has dimmed, her spirit continues to shine brightly in the heavens above, a guide to all who had the privilege of knowing her warm, loving embrace. Rolinda Rodriguez, a woman who lived with the fullness of grace, leaves this world not diminished by her absence but enriched by her presence. As she is welcomed into the arms of the Lord, we take comfort in knowing that she rests now in eternal peace, her laughter a melody among the celestial choir.
