Live music starts at noon on Saturday, Los Lonely Boys headlines flood relief concert

RiverFest 2025 features an all afternoon music line up. Throughout the day, artists will perform at Bart Dewitt Park beside the Chadbourne Street bridge, starting off with Susan DeKolb at noon. The other artists have yet to be announced but this page will be updated.

Then the festivities move over to the Riverstage, where Los Lonely Boys will headline a flood relief concert. Nine other Latino and rock music acts are set to perform that evening. Check the showtimes below for the full lineup. All proceeds will go to the area flood relief efforts.

The Angelo State University Symphony Orchestra will present its first concert of the fall season on Saturday, Sept. 27, in ASU’s Elta Joyce Murphey Auditorium located inside the Mayer Administration Building at 2601 W. Ave. N.

Titled “Thunderstruck,” the concert will begin at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The ASU Symphony Orchestra will be joined by Dr. Trent Shuey, ASU assistant director of bands, and Dr. Lisa Rogers, a professor of percussion studies at Texas Tech University.

The evening will open with the haunting and thrilling “Night on Bald Mountain,” a tone poem of witches and wild spirits by Modest Mussorgsky. That will be followed by the explosive “Concerto Fantasy for Two Timpanists and Orchestra” by minimalist master Philip Glass, showcasing Shuey and Rogers.

The ASU Symphony Orchestra includes about 50 student musicians and is directed by Dr. Fagner Magrinelli Rocha, associate professor of music.
