OBITUARY

Ramona Smith, our precious wife, mother, sister and friend went with Jesus on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Ramona was a beautiful, loving and generous lady who dearly loved her family, friends and the Lord.

Ramona was born August 18, 1948 in Kerrville, TX to parents Ray and Hazel Pope.

She graduated from Menard High School and San Angelo Business School. Ramona married Robert Cope on December 21, 1966 and had daughter Sandra (Sandy) on October 6, 1967.

Ramona married Tommy Smith on April 2, 1977, celebrating over 48 years of marriage.

Ramona worked for 27 years at General Telco Federal Credit Union (Texas Trust) for 27 years as the Executive Secretary where she made many dear friends.

Ramona loved to dance in her younger years, she loved to hunt for arrowheads, sew and decorate her home that she made beautiful.

Ramona is survived by husband Tommy Smith of San Angelo, daughter Sandra Musgrove (Ronnie) of Kerrville, brother Dalton Pope of Hext and many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Hazel Pope. Ramona is cherished by many and will be deeply missed.

Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo.
