Timothy Edward Mackey (1970-2026)

OBITUARY

Timothy Edward Mackey, age 55, of Bronte, passed away on January 1, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 10, 1970, in San Angelo.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Dolan Mackey, his grandparents, Marlin and Ershel Mackey, and Walter and Lorene Lynch.

He is survived by his loving mother, Betty Mackey Morgan of Bronte, his brother, Tony Mackey, and wife Debbie; his niece, Reagan Larsen; and his nephews, Blake McKee, Travis Mackey and Ty Mackey.

Tim attended Bronte schools and Central High School in San Angelo, where he graduated. He began his working career in the fast-food industry in San Angelo, later moving to South Carolina, where he managed fast-food restaurants. He then relocated to Dallas, where he worked as a manager for a printing company.

Eventually, Tim returned to Bronte to help care for his mother. Tim was a dedicated member of the Coke County Volunteer EMS, serving his community for several years. He was known for his sweet, kind and giving heart, and he willingly helped many residents in the community whenever there was a need.

A graveside service will be held at Bronte Cemetery on Friday, January 9, at 2 p.m.

Tim will be remembered for his generosity, compassion and devotion to family and community
