OBITUARY

Norma “Jeannie” Jean Buhle, a beloved and devoted resident of San Angelo, passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 16, 1946, Jeannie was known for her kind-hearted nature and deep devotion to her faith in Jesus.

Jeannie grew up in San Angelo and participated in the band by playing the drums at Lakeview High School, graduating with the class of 1964. She went on to become a school bus driver for special needs students with the San Angelo Independent School District, where her compassion and dedication touched many lives.

On Valentine’s Day in 1970, Jeannie married Philip Buhle, and they shared a loving marriage of 55 years. She cherished her family, including her children, Deanna King (Steven) and Darren Buhle (Charlotte), and her grandchildren, Jocilyn, Isabelle, Ellie, Bennett, and Sadie. Her sisters, Deborah Lee (John Paul) and Patricia Self (Marty), along with numerous nieces and nephews, were also dear to her heart.

Jeannie’s personal interests included sharing her faith, which was a cornerstone of her life. She had a green thumb and loved all flowers and plants, and she found joy in crocheting and playing music, especially the piano. Her commitment to her community was evident through her volunteering in the children’s ministry and other areas at her church.

Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her faith and sharing it with others. Jeannie often found strength in her favorite Bible verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will guide your path” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

The family wishes to express their gratitude to everyone associated with Hospice of San Angelo for their tireless help and care during Jeannie’s final days.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home, located at 435 West Beauregard, San Angelo, TX 76903, on December 31, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. A committal service will follow at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, 4989 FM Highway 1223, San Angelo, TX 76905, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Jeannie will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
