Minority Business Seminar is March 27

Guest speaker to discuss school bond proposal

The Minority Alliance Network Organization will join the Angelo State University Small Business Development Center to host a presentation beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the SBDC Business Resource Center, 69 N. Chadbourne St.

This event is the fifth seminar in a series and focuses on topics that have been requested by small-business owners.

A 30-minute question-and-answer session will allow attendees to get answers to questions on a variety of topics from a panel including a local CPA and loan officers from two banks.

Dr. Merl Brandon with SAISD

As a special presentation, Dr. Merl Brandon will discuss the $397 million school bond proposal. Brandon is assistant superintendent of business support services and serves as CFO for San Angelo ISD.

The Minority Alliance Network Organization is dedicated to “connecting, growing, and empowering minority-owned businesses.”

The program is free and open to the public, and light food and refreshments will be provided.
