OBITUARY

Linda Ann Gilley, 63, of San Angelo passed away on October 11, 2025.

She was born on January 22, 1962, in Grand Forks, ND, to William and Katie Thomason Bolton. Being a military family, they moved several different places in her younger years but settled in San Angelo in 1979.

Linda graduated from Howard College with a LVN degree in nursing. All of her nursing career was spent as a LVN at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center in Carlsbad. She was known as a “Super Nurse” by the residents there. She finally retired in 2021.

Her sister, Robbin, will always remember their shopping trips when she tried giving her away to strangers if she made Linda mad. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Regina Gilley.

Linda is survived by her son, Chris Gilley; sisters, Robbin Gray and Ronnie Bolton; nephew, Kevin Gray; numerous cousins; her good friend, David Ann Knight; and her cat, Mister.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Attire is casual dress, as Linda wasn’t one for dressing up. Arrangements are under the direction of Harper Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of San Angelo.

The family would like to thank Hospice and Park Plaza Nursing Center for taking care of Linda at the end.
