Angelo State University’s Kay Bailey Hutchison Institute will host the 2025 ASU Cybersecurity Roundup on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Houston Harte University Center at 1910 Rosemont Drive.
With the theme, “Securing Texas Together: Leveraging Technologies to Strengthen Communities,” the event will take place in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center and is free and open to the public. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The Cybersecurity Roundup is designed to give the community a day focusing on common cybersecurity and artificial intelligence topics. Information will be available to all levels of participants, from those with no cybersecurity knowledge to business owners, nonprofit leaders and chief information officers. Topics to be discussed include:
- Protecting Your Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
- Data Privacy in a World of AI
- Cybercrime Awareness: Spotting and Reporting Deepfakes, Scams and Misinformation
- AI in Daily Life: Myths vs. Reality
- What Your Community is Doing To Keep You and Organizations Safe
- How To Protect Your Organization from Malicious Hackers
