During his career, he earned an associate degree in Fire Science, reflecting his dedication to professional growth and excellence in public safety. He began his career as a firefighter and later joined the Fire Marshal’s Office as a fire investigator and bomb disposal technician. Through hard work and commitment, he rose to become the Fire Marshal for the City of San Angelo—a role that embodied his deep sense of service to his community.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Angie; his sons, Stephen Flores and Michael Land; grandchildren, Amber, Ethan, and Gabriella; and great-grandchildren, Hiro and Arlo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hazel Land, and his brother, Don Land.

Ken will be remembered for his steadfast integrity, his sense of duty, and his devotion to family and community. His legacy of service and kindness lives on in all who knew and loved him
