OBITUARY

Kenneth Leon Segler, 57, beloved father and son, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, in San Angelo following a courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Segler was born May 21, 1968 in San Angelo to Robert “Bob” Segler, Sr. and Marie Murray. Kenneth was a life long resident of San Angelo. He attended school at Fort Concho, where he was a member of the ‘Apaches’, before attending Edison, and Central High where he graduated in 1986.

Kenneth played in the Central High School Marching Band and was also a photographer for the Westerner. Kenneth attended Angelo State University where he was a member of the marching band and jazz band. Kenneth was also a photographer for the Ram Page during his time at ASU. Kenneth played semipro baseball for the RC 100’s, and was a wonderful softball coach, coaching his girls teams.

Kenneth worked at Ethicon for 17 years retiring in 2012. Kenneth also worked at the San Angelo State School. Kenneth loved playing coed softball and enjoyed watching sports, including rooting for the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. Kenneth’s illness never took away his desire to live. He would make friends with anyone he met, the family described him as a “social butterfly”. He fought a good fight, he kept the faith, he finished the course.
