OBITUARY

Juanita Garcia Hernandez, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026 surrounded by her children and grandchildren and family.

Juanita was born in San Angelo, Texas on June 24, 1940 to Baltazar and Rose Armendariz Garcia.

Juanita married the love of her life, Alfred Hernandez on November 27, 1959 in San Angelo, at St Mary’s Catholic Church. Together they raised a family of four children and grandchildren. Juanita was employed at Henry’s Flower Shop and Bouquets Unique Flower Shop for many years until her retirement.

Juanita was a devoted wife, Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great- great grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend, who lived her life with unwavering faith and love for her family.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents: Baltazar Garcia and Rosa Martinez, grandparents: Jose and Pilar Delacruz, Encarnacion Canava Garcia, granddaughter Amanda Juarez, great grandson Jacob Joe Villalobos and several siblings.

She is survived by her husband: Alfred Hernandez, her son: Joe Lombrana (Linda) her daughters: Leticia Moore (Charles), Vivian Ochoa and Sonia Galvan (Mando). She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Charles Moore, Jr. (Celeste), Lisa Villalobos (Joe), Julie Lombrana (Chris Herrington), Bethany Ochoa (Nick), Joe Lombrana I (Nathalie), Ashley Hernandez and Lauren Fowler (Blake), fifteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.

Juanita was very passionate about floral designs, sewing, cooking, baking and crafts.

Her joyful spirit and support touched everyone around her.

Juanita had deep devotion to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her Catholic faith was At the Center of everything she did. She was a faithful and active member of the Guadalupana’s Society of Sacred Heart Cathedral.

We will all remember her blessing us before we left home. Her kindness, wisdom and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Serving as Pallbearers are Charles Moore Jr, Joe Lombrana II, Joe Villalobos, Chris Herrington, Jacob Carrejo and Gabriel Vasquez. Honorary Pallbearers are Brandon White, Michael Rios and Miles Herrington.

Special Thanks and gratitude to the White Family and those who have passed.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the “Guadalupana’s Society of Sacred Heart Cathedral” in her memory.

The rosary will be recited Monday, January 12, 2026 at 6 p.m. in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
