OBITUARY

Jesus Marquez, born January 18, 1942, died on February 20, 2026, at the age of 84.

Jesus Marquez was born in Rio Grande Zacatecas, Mexico, in Rancho Los Marquez on January 18, 1942, and was called to be with the Lord on Friday, February 20, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He served in the Mexican Army and was discharged in 1971 as a Sergeant. He worked for the City of San Angelo for 15 years.

He enjoyed playing his accordion, singing, dancing, cooking, travelling, fishing, playing volleyball and soccer; but his favorite thing was watching soccer. Above all else, what he truly treasured in life was spending time with his family. 

Jesus was preceded in death by his mother, Felipa Garcia Marquez, father, Tirso Marquez, siblings Eduvijes Marquez, Pedro Marquez, and Augustina Castaneda.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Odili Marquez. His children: Susie Marquez, Jesse Marquez, Frankie Marquez and daughter-in-law Frances Marquez. Grandchildren: Paul Costilla, Kristan Marquez and Jesse Marquez Jr. Brothers Francisco Marquez, Manuel Marquez, Nicolas Marquez and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers for the service will be Jesse Marquez, Frankie Marquez, Paul Costilla, Jesse Marquez Jr., Albert Dominguez, and Gustavo Marquez. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Castillo Jr. and Felix Dominguez.

No services are scheduled at this time.
