OBITUARY

Jackie Glenn Coney passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on May 13, 1935, to William and Lula Coney in Wolfe City, Texas, Jackie was known for his humorous, selfless, and kind-hearted nature.

Jackie dedicated his career to working as a mechanic at the Sherwood Lanes Bowling Alley. His work ethic and dedication were admired by many, and he was known for his compassionate and thoughtful approach to life.

In his personal life, Jackie enjoyed fishing, playing games on his tablet, and watching cowboy movies. He also found joy in attending church and keeping busy with work.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Olga Coney.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Teresa Cano, Laura Ontives, and Peggy Valles; 1 son, Bobby Gray, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Jackie was a loving and caring individual who enjoyed helping people. Those who knew him will remember his generous spirit, his warm heart, and the love he freely gave. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
