OBITUARY

Fanni Harris, a beacon of love and generosity, completed her extraordinary journey on Earth on November 9, 2025.

Born on September 13, 1935, in Frankenthal, Germany, Fanni’s life was a testament to the power of courage and the strength of the human spirit. Her passage into eternal peace occurred in San Angelo, Texas, where she was surrounded by the warmth of her family and the comfort of her home.

Fanni’s story is one of resilience and ambition. She pursued higher education with a fervor that was both admirable and inspiring, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business that would become the cornerstone of her professional success. For a remarkable 25 years, Fanni’s leadership and business acumen shone brightly as she managed Zentners and Zentners Daughter in San Angelo and Abilene.

In her personal life, Fanni was the epitome of a matriarch, a family woman through and through.

Her daughter Vera Grey, her son Michael Hord, his wife Rhonda, their son Ryan, grandson James Gray, and great-grandson Cayden, were the jewels in her crown, each one a reflection of her loving nature and her boundless generosity.

Fanni’s legacy of love will continue to live on through them, a perpetual reminder of the remarkable woman she was.

Fanni’s interests were as colorful and vibrant as her personality.

She had a unique flair for entertaining, an eye for shopping that could spot the diamond in the rough, and a talent for decorating that could transform any space into a warm, inviting home. Her life was a canvas, and she painted it with the bright colors of joy and the deep hues of meaningful relationships.

To describe Fanni as loving, generous, and courageous is to capture the essence of her being. These words were not just descriptors but the very principles that guided her life. Fanni’s love knew no bounds, her generosity was limitless, and her courage was as steady as the ground beneath her feet.

She faced life’s challenges with a smile that could light up a room and a determination that could move mountains.

As we reflect on Fanni Harris’s life, let us not dwell on the sorrow of her departure but rather embrace the indelible mark she has left on the world.

Let her story be a source of motivation, a reminder that each day is an opportunity to lead with love, to give selflessly, and to face life with unyielding courage.

Fanni’s journey may have come to a close, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all.

In the words of Fanni herself, “Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

Her life was a collection of such breathtaking moments, a true celebration of a life well-lived. As we say our goodbyes, we carry forward the light she has instilled in each of us, a light that will continue to shine brightly for generations to come.
