LOCAL PEOPLE

San Angelo’s Equity Alliance, in partnership with Art Alliance San Angelo, will hold a Paint Party from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 2781 W. Ave N.

The party follows a string of creative events hosted by the group in recent months.

Equity Alliance co-founder, Jessie Ramón, believes events like this fit the group’s mission of encouraging accessibility and community.

“San Angelo is abundant with local artist(s), and accessibility to create and enjoy art is important to us,” he said.

“Not only will you create a beautiful piece of original art, and support our local Art Alliance, but you’ll always meet some wonderful people as well.”

The painting process will be led by local artist, Kari Jauregui. Admission to the event is free, and all ages and skill levels are welcome.

Participants are encouraged to bring art supplies to help restock the Art Alliance of San Angelo’s Art Closet.
