OBITUARY

Dolores Charlene Binkley Jung entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 3, 2026. God blessed her with 96 years of life.

Dolores was born to Frank and Ruth Binkley on December 30, 1929 in Crabapple, Gillespie County, TX.

She was baptized into Christ and confirmed in the faith on July 29, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church, San Angelo, by Pastor Glenn Kollmeyer.

Dolores married Clarence Eddie Jung on June 11, 1946 in Sedan, KS. They were planning their 50th anniversary celebration when Clarence died suddenly at the age of 70 just 6 weeks before their anniversary.

Dolores and Clarence lived in Fredericksburg early in their marriage and then later moved to Arlington. While in Arlington, Dolores was employed as a seamstress by the Levi Strauss Company and later worked for Michaels as a floral designer. Clarence and Dolores moved to San Angelo in 1948.

Dolores was a faithful servant to her Savior, being active in Trinity Lutheran Church for 66 years. Using her skills as an expert seamstress, she served many years with the Quilting Ministry. She was always happy to bake cookies for any event or fundraiser, supporting Trinity Lutheran School, the Church Bazaar, and Vacation Bible School. Aside from church, Dolores was an avid walker with friends in the neighborhood until her health began deteriorating a few years ago.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence, their son, Larry, and one brother, Wayne Binkley. She is survived by a nephew, Bruce Willmann and a great-nephew, Brice Willmann, both of San Antonio. Dolores is also survived by Dennis Arhelger, a very close family friend whom she loved as her own son. Dennis was a loyal friend, helper, and dedicated caregiver to Dolores for 30 years.

Funeral arrangements are by Johnson’s. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, January 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3536 Lutheran Way in San Angelo, with Rev. Allan C. Eckert officiating.
