The Concho Valley Community Action Agency will hit the road beginning on Tuesday, visiting rural communities to receive completed applications for local assistance programs.
In Ozona, at Crockett County Senior Center, at 2 State Highway 153, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In Menard, at the Community Center, 303 Travis Street, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In Mertzon, at City Hall, 104 S Park View Street, from 2 to 4 p.m.
In Junction, at Kimble County Public Library, 208 N 10th Street, from 2 to 4 p.m.
On Wednesday
In Big Lake, at City Hall, 203 N Plaza Avenue, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In Eldorado, at the Eldorado Service Center, 400 W. Murchison Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In Sterling City, at the County Library, 301 Main Street, 2 to 4 p.m.
In Sonora, at the County Library, 306 E Mulberry Street, 2 to 4 p.m.
Wrapping up on Thursday
In Eden, at City Hall, 120 Paint Rock Street, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In Robert Lee, at the County’s Judges Office, 13 E 7th Street, from 2 to 4 p.m.
CVCAA is accepting applications for utilities, rural-rental assistance, veteran services, and case-management programs.
Incomplete applications, and those received outside the submissions window cannot be accepted.

Agency Helps Flood Relief in Kimble Co.
Last Saturday in Kimble County the agency assisted flood affected households, coordinating their efforts in London. They report: “It was a full house along side Frontera Healthcare, the Red Cross, FEMA, TDEM, SBA and more. A huge shout out to Kimble County Judge Rose and his EMC team for helping coordinate.”

Planning Commission Will Meet on 18th
The planning commission was not able to make quorum last Friday, and will meet at the regular planning meeting at the City Hall mezzanine, Aug. 18th at 9 a.m.
Those who wish to speak in favor of the agencies Rock Rose Community Campus are encouraged to attend, and keep their comments under three minutes.
