Back-to-School Paper Drive
Help support your local teachers through CVCAA’s back-to-school paper drive July 22 and 24.
Drop off college ruled and wide ruled loose-leaf paper, composition notebooks, and construction paper.
All donations will be taken in at CVCAA’s main office at 133 W Concho Avenue. The goal is to collect 500,000 sheets of paper for the upcoming school year.
Public school teachers spend on average $400-$750 per year on classroom supplies. Texas ranked twentieth in the nation for unreimbursed teacher spending, at an average of 514 dollars annually.
Schoolteachers report that not just school supplies, but winter clothing and extra food contribute greatly to the added cost.
