Commissioners Approve Lease, Purchase At Weekly Meeting

Tom Green County Commissioners Court met for their regular weekly meeting last Tuesday. They they approved a renewal for a lease on the library concession space to Helen’s Bistro, effective March 1 through next year.

Commissioners also authorized Constable Larry Lupton, who will be retiring soon, to purchase his duty weapon for its replacement cost.

Before going into executive session, the Court also adopted a resolution in support of hosting the 2027 West Texas Judges and Commissioners Conference in association with the Texas Association of Counties.

Tom Green County holds a regular weekly business meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays in the second-floor County Commissioners Court room of the Keyes Building,  113 W. Beauregard Ave. in downtown San Angelo.

This Tuesday’s Meeting Agenda:

For tomorrow’s meeting, the Commissioners’ Court includes:

  • Rescinding permission of Constable Larry Lupton to purchase his weapon from the County.
  • Authorizing an new credit application to Federal Eastern International
  • Consider the County-Wide Burn Ban
  • Consider memorandum of understanding between Tom Green County Sheriff’s Crisis Intervention Unit and various other entities, including the 51st and 119th District Attorneys Office, Shannon Medical Center, Tom Green County Domestic Violence Prosecution Unit, the Family Shelter, the San Angelo Police Department and others.
  • Consider payment agreement with Howard Technologies for audio-visual project.
