OBITUARY

Celinda “Sally” Jio, 60, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, in San Angelo.

Public viewing is open from 10 a.m to 8 p.m., with a vigil held at 6 p.m. on January 22, 2026, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Deacon Claudio Sanchez, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Miss Jio was born May 6, 1965 in San Angelo where she was a lifetime resident. Sally attended Central High School. Sally would later achieve her GED and gain her CNA license. Sally began working at Community Hospital and then after the merger for Shannon Medical Center. She was a catholic. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with family. Sally loved her job at Shannon.

Survivors include her mother, Guadalupe Jio; two daughters, Jessica Dela Garza, and Brittany Dela Garza; a son, Robert Dela Garza, Jr.’ a brother, Gilbert Jio; many other siblings; her five grandchildren, Pete, Zayden, Nadiya, Christian, and Derrick. Sally was preceded in death by a brother, Gumesindo “Gumby” Jio in 2003; and her grandparents who raised her like a daughter, Ruben and Matilda Jio.
