OBITUARY

Bowden Tims Maben Jr. of Mertzon, Texas went home to God on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at the age of 90.

“Bo” had an adventure-filled life. He loved fishing, boating, hunting and flying small aircraft. His charm and wit made him popular with all who met him. He had a long and diversified career in oil-field chemicals spanning six decades.

He left this world in the comforting embrace of his longtime partner Nirma Maben. His faithful daughters Vanda Forbes and Sherrie Hale spent many of his final hours with him comforting him and assuring him of their love. Bo is also survived by his grandchildren: Sean Hale, Aaron Hale, Van Forbes and Stephanie Forbes Jackson.

His amazing extended family that showered him with love and affection throughout his life were also faithful vigils through his final days.

A memorial service will be held on November 15 at 10 a.m., in the Celestial Throne Church, 2121 Lindell Ave., in San Angelo, followed by spreading of his ashes at Twin Buttes with family members.

Together we celebrate the life of a man who lived on his own terms with no apologies. May he rest in peace.
