OBITUARY
Anthony Wayne Nail, known affectionately as Tony, passed away on October 17, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on February 27, 1973, in Martinsville, Indiana, Tony grew up with a boundless spirit and a heart full of laughter, which he carried with him throughout his 52 years of life.
Tony was a graduate of Owen Valley Community High School in Spencer, Indiana, where he was known for his quick wit and ability to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
His sense of humor and adventurous nature stayed with him as he embarked on a 35-year career in construction. Tony’s skilled hands and creative mind were evident in every project he undertook, leaving a legacy of craftsmanship that will stand the test of time.
A true family man, Tony’s world revolved around his loved ones.
He leaves behind his mother, Debbie Nail; his brother, Eddie Nail; his loving wife, Sarah Nail; his cherished daughters, Meaghan Hughes and Chloe Nail; and his adored grandsons, Lukas Moore, Zander Fulk, and Mattix Russell.
Tony’s legacy will also live on through the memories shared with his extended family and a multitude of friends whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eddie Nail, and his grandparents, Orville and Virginia Nail, as well as John and Maxine English.
Tony’s interests were as varied as his talents. He was a sports fan, finding joy in the thrill of the game. Westerns and action movies captivated his imagination, often leading to family movie nights filled with popcorn and laughter. However, his true passion was building model cars, a hobby that allowed him to express his meticulous and artistic side.
A man of few words, Tony was often described as handy, funny, and adventurous. These words not only encapsulate who he was but also the spirit he brought into every room.
His ability to fix anything, crack the perfect joke, or embark on an adventure made him the heartbeat of his family and a friend to all.
Tony’s life was a testament to the power of joy, the strength of family, and the beauty of love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we bid farewell to Tony, we celebrate a man well-loved. May his stories continue to inspire us, his laughter echo in our hearts, and his memory be a guiding light in the lives of those he cherished.
