OBITUARY

Adelmira Perez, a gentle and kind-hearted soul, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born on November 22, 1946, Adelmira was raised in a close-knit family. Her adoptive parents instilled in her the values of faith and kindness from a young age. Her childhood was filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of compassion for others. From an early age, she displayed a gentle spirit, a thoughtful heart, and a devotion to helping those around her.

Adelmira married Mariano Perez in 1965 and was blessed with a daughter, Marcelina Perez, in 1968. After the passing of her husband, she lived as a widow, facing many challenges with strength and faith. In 1975, she married Juan Jose Mendoza Teran, and together they welcomed three more children: Juan Jose Jr. Teran in 1976, Marribell Martinez in 1977, and Esmeralda Wells in 1978. Later, she became a grandmother to 7 grandchildren; Anthony, Michael, Gabriel, Bianca, Fabian, Emily, and Delilah. Despite life’s difficulties, Adelmira remained committed to moving forward with resilience.

Her personal interests included attending church, cooking, and enjoying her favorite music. She loved to socialize with communities in church, where she was devoted and active.

Adelmira will be remembered as a gentle, kind-hearted, and deeply compassionate woman who earnestly sought to live a life pleasing to God. Though her journey was not without hardship, she faced life with perseverance and faith. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children and all who knew her. Her life is a reminder that faith is often lived out through endurance, humility, and grace.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all who offered prayers, support, love, and kindness during this time. Your compassion, encouragement, and presence have brought comfort and strength, and will always be deeply appreciated.

Visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard, San Angelo, TX 76903, on February 12, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the same venue at 10 a.m. February 13, followed by the committal service at Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 W. Ave. N.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Rest in Peace, Adelmira. Your journey is complete, and you are now in God’s loving care.
