EYE ON SAN ANGELO
It’s a little difficult getting into anyplace along 29th Street at the moment, but the crews working on paving the closed section between Chadbourne and Grape Creek Road looked like they’d already taken a big bite out of that project, so hopefully it won’t be closed too long.

Reece Albert Inc. crews were busily working all morning to get the old pavement up, to make way for the new.

The bottleneck on 29th Street either side of Bryant Boulevard are still frustrating drivers for now…

A little further down Chadbourne Street, we saw this surveyor heading to a corner at 19th Street.

The Roosevelt Lofts are looking pretty spiffy with their news windows and doors installed.

Meanwhile, behind the old newspaper building, someone has pulled down one of the walls of an old garage space.

Early every morning, vans and cars would carry the news through this alley on their way to distribute papers far and wide.

And it was a good afternoon for turtles to bask on local dams and downed branches, with highs in the mid 90s.
The forecast office says the temperature is going to creep up a little, but should stay below 100 degrees for the weekend.
